Women - I had CANCER 2yrs. ago - and lost all of my hair - when it started growing in again ??

I noticed very little on my legs - and still do to this day. How about y'all ?
Answer:
I had Hodgkin's lymphoma, stage 4 and I lost all of my hair, even my eyelashes and eyebrows. My eyelashes and eyebrows grew in within a few months once done with chemo but it took forever for my hair to grow. It took me a good 2 years once I completed chemo to even feel comfortable without a wig and my hair is finally the length it was before (3.5 years later, below my shoulders). It was wavy and thick before and grew back very curly. It all depends what kind of chemo you had, how long you went through it and how much you got (chemo). It should be starting to grow in though for you, if not I would ask your doctor, good luck and God bless you!
I would think that is a good thing as most weman shave thier legs anyway. My wife don`t but she is Indian
You are so *lucky*!! I've been through chemo twice and the only hair I've really lost is on my head and eyelashes!! LOL!! The hair on my legs has remained the same so I still have to shave. Big bummer!! Jen
My mom had ovarian cancer for 7 years and although her hair grew back on her head she grew very little hair back everywhere else!
When I had radiation when i was 15, I lost part of the heir on my head, and ALL of the hair on my back. My back is smooth to this day.I start chemo for breast cancer on Tuesday so I'll be curious as to how my leg and underarm and, a-hm, rest of my hair comes back.If you have little hair on your legs, I'd consider that a bonus!

Wolf Fever?? Has anyone heard of an old Fever called Wolf Fever?

Need this question answered as it is serious. Its some kind of blood fever as it was explained to me...
Answer:
http://www.homeoint.org/cazalet/oldnames...here is a link that I find most helpful when reading mid-wives diaries, talking to old timers, etc.
I have heard of Womb fever (infection of the uterus). But wolf?
Hope this helps!
Nothing shows up in google, except a reference to some musical band and as a reference to people who raise wolf dog hybrids where wolf fever refers to being addicted to raising this type of animal. Not any references to a disease.

Withdrawal from Paxil?

Does anyone have any suggestions on how to minimize or ease the discomfort associated with withdrawal symptoms from Paxil such as headaches, light-headedness, and a sort of jolting electric zap behind the eyes when moving the head around. Just as a note, my withdrawal is gradual and physician-supervised, though I have not gotten back to her regarding this issue. Thanks!
Answer:
I tapered off of it and didn't notice any adverse effects. Hope you don't either.
Paxil causes cancer!
Stay in the same class of meds, use a lower dose to ease to pain. That Paxil is strong mojo if you know what I mean. Take it slow.
I went through the same thing when I stopped taking paxil. That was several years ago. Back then the drs were convinced that paxil had no withdrawal issues. I tried talking to my dr., therapist, and pharmacist and all said I was imagining it. UGH!! Your best bet is to look for all the information you can find about paxil withdrawl. It really helped me. I knew what was causing the symptoms and which symptoms were coming next. It didn't erase the brain zaps, the headaches, or the wild mood swings but it put me in a better position to handle them. You might look for a message board or forum about paxil. It really helps to talk to others that have been through it. It should pass in a month or two.
i dunno. ive been off paxil for two weeks. the withdrawal is so bad and i can't take any time off work and its horrible. they never mentioned this in the phamphlets. not the severity of the withdrawal. i refuse to go back on this med so i guess stick it out. i'll stick it out with ya. lemme know how you do.

Witch trial?

I do not know what is the medical condition of the two girls who showed peculiar behavior, which initiates witch trial.
Is it hysteria? or some other neurological disease?
Answer:
"In the village of Salem in 1692, Betty Parris, age 9, and her cousin Abigail Williams, age 11, the daughter and niece (respectively) of Reverend Samuel Parris, fell victim to what was recorded as fits "beyond the power of Epileptic Fits or natural disease to effect," according to John Hale, minister in Beverly, in his book A Modest Enquiry into the Nature of Witchcraft (Boston, 1702). The girls screamed, threw things about the room, uttered strange sounds, crawled under furniture, and contorted themselves into peculiar positions. They complained of being pricked with pins or cut with knives, and when Reverend Samuel Parris would preach, the girls would cover their ears, as if dreading to hear the sermons. A doctor, historically assumed to be William Griggs, could find no physical evidence of any ailment."Current theory ascribes their behavior to likely hysteria. Considering the Puritans' convictions that women were subservient to men and children were the lowest on the social totem-pole, and given that the men of this society spent long hours preaching hellfire and brimstone to the women (who were thought to be naturally lustful and particularly subject to the devil's influence, I think hysteria might be a logical conclusion. I know I'd hate being yelled at and called a sinner for hours and hours at a time, 7 days a week. Read the link below for the entire story.
the afflictions that caused the mass hysteria in salem were related to mold that grew on the rye that was kept in the damp and dark pantries.

Wishing for anorexia back, how to stop?

Will you test positive on urinalisis for second hand pot smoke?

i was told you can't test positive on a urinalisis from second hand marajana smoke.is this true.i have friends that have cancer/aids/cronic pain, and are prescibed marajana.i'm around them ALOT,and don't want to test positive, but don't want to stop seeing them.
Answer:
if you inhale pot smoke...no matter what method you inhale it from, it can be significant enough to show up on urine screen. You absolutely CAN get it in your system from 2nd hand smoke.
It depends how second hand it was...was it passed from their hand to yours? If so then yes
i don't know for sure but you could always ask a medical professional or go to a medical website and post the question, you'll probably get a better answer there and you can always post it anonymously.but i doubt it
In order to test positive by secondhand smoke, you'd need to be in a sealed room with them for days. You'd almost need to inhale as much smoke as they do.The Army did a study where they locked volunteers in a room and pumped in smoke for one hour, five times a day. They started testing positive after the second day.Nonsmokers are safe in a ventilated area.
SHUT -UP...YOU DON'T HAVE FRIENDS WITH DISEASES YOU EFFIN POTHEAD. YES YOU WILL TEST POSITIVE -YOU BETTER START DRINKING WATER NOW SMOKEY.

Will You Talk With Your Doctor About The Anti Cholesterol Paradigm's LACK Of Support?

Will you confront your doctor on the fact that the anti cholesterol paradigm has no scientific basis? How ALL 18 randomized clinical dietary intervention trials have never produced any reduction at all in coronary heart disease mortality that can be attributed to using saturated fat restriction ?
that Framingham Heart Study showed that "After age 50 11 % overall and 14 % cvd death rate INCREASE per 1 mg/dl DROP in cholesterol"
that The Seven Countries Study does not support the low fat theory / Any association between animal fat and coronary disease DISAPPEARS WITHIN, WITHIN nations.
The fact the the statin trials have shown THERE IS NO ASSOCIATION BETWEEN THE DEGREE OF TOTAL CHOLESTEROL LOWERING AND THE SURVIVAL RATE IN OTHER WORDS THE RISK OF HAVING A FATAL HEART ATTACK WAS SIMILARLY REDUCED WHETHER THE CHOLESTEROL LEVELS WERE LOWERED BY A LARGE OR SMALL AMOUNT?
MENTION ALL OF THIS
Answer:
When you do talk to your doctor, be sure to mention that the info came from a crackpot named Colpo.BTW, it's not always the degree of cholesterol lowering, but the level that is reached.
Ashey A and Razwell are probably the same person who is trying to use ByeDr.com to prove his theory. He must be a "doctor" or a "scientist" who has been discredited by the scientific community and he must have serious issues
NOTHING TO DO WITH THE LEVEL THAT IS REACHEDYOU you fraud have NOT read THGIS
http://www.lowcarbmuscle.com/forums/show...MOST HEART ATTACKS PEOPLE HAPPENIN PERSONS WITH NORMAL TO LOW CHOLESTEROL
There have BEEN DOCUMENTED HEART ATTACKS WITH A CHOLESTEROL LEVEL OF 150 AND BELOWIF YOU had read the medical literature YOU would have seen that LDL LOWERING IS FOUNDED.

Will we see an AIDS vaccine in the next 50 years?

Answer:
Not until there's a complete rethinking on the subject.
I think so, but in the meantime use a condom!
yes but there will be the next thing and then the next thing after that. The world is geting too crowded we will need a plague soon.
I think we will.
try in the next 10 -15 years. I wouldn't advise getting it if the oportunity arises.
certainly yes. In India, I heard that there are some ayurvedic medicine (herbal) available to cure AIDS. But dont know how far it worked.

Will Vitamin E (from capsule) help reduce (recent) acne scars? or make it worse?

I have mild acne, but i tend to pick on my face. (it's a nervous thing i will try to stop now).i will visit my boyfriend in 3 weeks and I really need to get those scars out. I heard Vitamin E from capsule is really good. has anyone tried it before? or will I get more acne?
Answer:
it won't make it worse but it won't make it better either. Try using a teabag on the new acne scars it has an astringent effect that helps. Also use sunblock so the scars don't get darker!
Vitamin E oil may make you break out, but i put it on scars also.Try tea tree oil and lavender oils. They don't have to be mixed in a base.

Will vaccines eventually replace antibiotics?

Answer:
never
vaccines are meant to provide immunity to certain infectious agents. They work well, but not always completely, and vaccination really only works if EVERYONE gets the vaccine in a given population...and we never have 100% compliance. And even so, it is nearly impossible to prethink every infectious agent and make a vaccine for it. Even when we try, new organisms pop up (Lyme Disease, hantavirus, etc.)
antibiotics (and anti-fungals, anti-virals) are meant to treat infections and keep the infection from getting worse. these are two halves of strategy to keep us healthy. Neither alone is enough and neither will ever replace the other.
No, because viruses are constantly evolving so there's always a backlog between when one arises and when a vaccine can be developed. However, the viruses are also evolving to become resistant to antibiotics, so new ones are having to be developed all the time.edit: whoops, the guy below is right *blush*
"No, because viruses are constantly evolving so there's always a backlog between when one arises and when a vaccine can be developed. However, the viruses are also evolving to become resistant to antibiotics, so new ones are having to be developed all the time."Don't listen to that guy. Antibiotics aren't given for viruses. I think that someday we will have more vaccines for infections than we have now, but I doubt they will totally replace them. Not any time soon anyway.
no, vaccines are meant to provide short term immunity. Vaccines fake out the normal immune system to think that it has gotten the virus to be able to develop some antibodies for a certain virus. I am not saying that vaccines are the way to go. Just look at it, a vaccine is made up mostly of chemical properties that damage other areas of the body, alot of the time it attacks the nervous system, immune system, and the neurological system. Like the chicken pocks vaccine is only effective for a short period of about 5 years. If you get that virus as a child you develop a lifetime immunity to it. If you get the virus as a teenager or an adult when the vaccine has mos likely worn off than it has even worse effects and the fatality rate increases dramatically.
Antibiotics take the place of the immune system and instead of allowing the body to fight an infection the antibiotics go in and kill the infection and unfortunately our bodies immune system over time weakens and falls victim to the same virus over and over again because it does not have the antibodies built up to be able to destroy an infection its self.

Will using baby shampoo help with my acne ?

My friend Leslie uses it to wash her face and I was just wondering if it was a good thing to do
Answer:
some acne is bacteria, so you may need an antibiotic for it
no use rubbing alcohol it will clean up ur face
try alcohol or sea breeze or any clean and clear acne products
nomes...thats ridikulus!
try antibacterial soap..worked for my daughter
No, that's pretty stupid.
No. It won't help at all. You need to use ProActive to get rid of it.
baby shampoo could possibly help with your acne, but I wouldn't think you'd have to put it on your face to do so. Try washing your hair with it. A part of the reason you break out could be the ingredients in your shampoo or conditioner. They can clog your pores if not rinsed thoroughly. As for your face, try using neutrogena's line. it works well for me.
no, thats just a myth
Depends on your own skin, if it irritates it more than stop using it. Try dove sensitive skin soap.
First of all- DONT use alcohol on a regular basis, the people who told you to dont know much. Alcohol dries your skin badly...so thats NOT a good idea.Baby Shampoo wont do anything for you skin, it wont treat anything.Use something like Clearasil Daily Facewash, or Proactive, both work very well.
What it will do is dry your skin out considerably - it's very harsh! See a skin specialist and have a proper assessment and use the correct medications, if any are required that is. Good luck! The more often you leave your skin clean [no make up etc] the better for you, most times. However, check it out with the doc.
u are best of going to see a docter who can prescribe you with something i used to have acne severly about 2 years ago so i went to see me my gp and he gave me a tablet which i took and i have smooth , soft skin (look on the pic) aswell ur better of doing that than using anything else to agrvate your skin nothing looks worse than spots xx
don't think it will clear your acne..this will
raw unpasteurized apple cider vinegar
heat a qt of water, add 3 tblspns vinegar, make a tent over the pot, cover your head with a towel, steam your face. then dab some vinegar on your skin to clean, do this process 2 more times, then squeeze the blackheads. mix 1/2 water, 1/2 vinegar, chilled, dab on face to close pores and tone skin.
as a skin care routine,
raw unpasturized apple cider vinegar..
the following 2 testimonials can be seen at http://www.earthclinic.com/cures/acne.ht...
Angelina O, has found that applying ACV topically to her face several times a day (4 or more times) has cured her of a "very bad complexion". She reports that she applies it straight and that while it burns her skin a bit, it still works like a miracle!
Cheryl writes, "My daughter developed a case of moderate acne, and after trying a number of different things for over a year which helped very little or not at all, she started drinking 2 tablespoons of apple cider vinegar three times a day and applying it topically once at night. She has been acne free for two months. It took about three weeks to clear up." to drink it, put it in honey and water, or apple juice--tastes like cider..cost is 5 dollars a qt at the healthfood store
No. But don't take my word for it. I'm just 13. But the last time I checked baby shampoo is only use for your hair and babies' at that. Maybe you can though. I guess the formula is soft enough to clean your face without making it worse. Is it working for your friend?
Colloidal Silver.
Buy a small bottle with a pump top and spray on your face 2-3 times a day. It is distilled water with 100% pure Silver particles suspended in a positive charge. You can Google it for more info, but I GUARANTEE you will be pleased. You can send me flowers later. Good Luck.

Will this remove acne?

if i used rubbing alcohol on my acne will that get rid of them or make it worse?
Answer:
alchohol will sterilize ANd dry out the zits..its good.so is plenty of sunshine. Ultra violet light is a natural disinfectant and will kill the zit causing germs
dont do that. just buy some clearasil or something.
I wouldnt suggest it, it can help clean the area as in help kill the bacteria however I'm sure your skin wouldn't like it and would likely get red and inflammed. Instead if you have moderate acne try an over the counter benzoyl peroxide wash.
i hope your not serious!
it will dry them it and make your skin dry i use rubbing alcohol also on the big pimples lol
peroxide won't hurt you as much
it might clear it up but it will make ur face worse in the future.
I dont recommend it.
Use something prescribed.
No it will dry your skin out severely. Go to a dermatologist-there are SO many effective treatments out there. The dermatologist will tell you which on is right for you. Acne is not something you have to put up with-make an appointment.
rubbing alcohol will clean your face from dirty and oil thats in your pores.
it will make your skin dry [if you use it too much]
so use a moistruizer with it if you decide to use alcohol
Thats probably not a good thing. I would suggest a over the counter cleanser made especially for acne. Use a moisterizer and wear sunscreen every day. If the cleanser doesn't work, I would see a dermatologist. But give the cleanser a month or so to work. I know acne is tough but it will go away. Good luck!
when you remove your blackheads/ acne with some device or your hands and then you use a face wash. After that use a Neutragena Astrigent. That's what I use. But it makes your face dry and skin peel if you wear it too much. Other then that, its the best because it doesnt form blackheads or acne.u are exactly like me if this problem relates to you

Will they give you a vaccination if you have a cold/possibly flu?

i need hep A, and yellow fever, and i have a pretty nasty cold. is it ok to go ahead and get the shots, or do i need to wait till im healthy?
Answer:
As a rule, as long as you are not running a fever, most doctors will still vaccinate you. It's up to them, though to make the call. The Yellow Fever vaccine is a bit rough and can cause a fever on it's own, so they may prefer to defer it until you are healthy again. Call the office and explain to them, they will let you know what their policy is.
From the research I've done (mostly on childhood vaccines though), you can still get a vaccine with a mild cold. I'd call ahead and ask..
docs prefer you healthy. It limits risks associated with vaccinations.
Best to wiat till you are feeling better as the vaccines can give you side effects as well such as fever.

Will there be cure for psoriasis in the near future?

What are the causes of psoriasis?
Answer:
Gene study is in it's infancy, so I doubt that it will be in the near future, But having it myself as well as some other autoimmune diseases, I always look for hope.
sorry dont know but my sis goes on sun bed and that really helps
It's caused by the immune system going into overdrive and like cancer there could have been a cure years ago but to many people have a vested interest in keeping it going.
I've not heard of a cure being developed. Psoriasis is caused excessive overproduction of skin cells. This causes the plaques and the shedding of skin that can be so distressing.
psoriasis is a chronic skin condition and is caused by an overactive immune system. This causes the skin to replace itself too quickly resulting in skin scales which are sore. It isn't contagious. Sadly, there isn't a cure at the moment. Many things have been tried like laser treatment, sun beds etc the results are usually temporary.
i hope so stress can cause psoriasis i have it but only on my scalp but i did have a few problems a few years ago and got it all over my body pretty bad but it calmed down as my problems got sorted sunbeds help too
I am not aware of any impending cures, however either your GP or if necessary a dermatologist can offer many useful managements.
Don't hold your breath waiting for a cure from the conventional side of things as the researchers just look at removing the symptom %26 not studying the underlying causes - which is usually stress of some kind.
Homoeopathy is what will help you! I've cured many, many cases over the years using homoeopathy. There's no magic remedy - just the remedy that is correct for the person suffering from psoriasis - which is so often stress related. I expect a lot of thumbs down from those ignorant of the real powers of homoeopathy - but they should ask my patients! One of my first patients had suffered with chronic psoriasis for 37 years %26 it virtually ruled his life. After 18 months of Homoeopathy, he was completely clear! It did take a long time because he was absolutely covered in the condition %26 had been treated for decades with suppressive medicines - but we saw improvements from the first remedy. Most cases don't take that long!Certainly no placebo effect when the patient returns 1 month later great improvements in their condition. What is it with some people - particularly those with an axe to grind, who insist on saying that homoeopathy doesn't work. General medicine HATES anything that successfully treats complaints that they say are incurable! I spent 21 years in general medicine %26 left because I knew that there were better ways of treating people - and that way is homoeopathy. Go to http://www.homeopathy-soh.org/ to find a local practitioner who will be able to help.
I am very sorry to hear about your constant discomfort
and torture. I have met and spoke with several people
that deal with the same issues and problems because of
their individual skin problems. I work with a company
that develops and markets non-toxic and non-poisonous
products and are in the business to help people like
yourself. We have one product that is currently being
recommended by dermatologists to help people with
severe skin conditions like Eczema, Psoriasis,
Rosacea, and Diabetes. A world-renowned clinical
laboratory conducted 2 independent, double blind
studies which tested how our skin therapy lotion
stacked up against Eucerin. The studies took place in
harsh winter conditions in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada.
Our product out-performed Eucerin in the areas of
softer skin, smoother skin, moisture improvement,
moisture retention, and continued good skin condition
after use of the product had stopped. In some of
these areas, our lotion outperformed Eucerin by 7
times. This is a remarkable product and has a 100%
money back guarantee. You need this product as it has
helped hundreds of people just like you.
Please let me know if you are ready to make a change
and I will happy to help. Thanks and have a blessed

Will some medications affect the tastebuds and cause a distinct change in food flavor?

I gave up nicotine, after 63 non-stop years, and am on several COPD breathing medications now. Food tastes different, even awful at times.
Answer:
If you are on medications which contain an inhaled steroid (Advair and Asmanex are examples), you can develop thrush, which is a yeast infection in your mouth and throat, if you do not gargle and rinse out your mouth after using your inhalers. You may notice a change in taste with thrush as well as burning when you eat or drink acidic things, like tomato sauce. Talk to the doctor who prescribed the meds if this sounds like it might be your problem. They will prescribe an antifungal medication to get rid of the thrush (usually either Diflucan or Nystatin Swish %26 Swallow). As long as you continue to gargle and rinse after using the inhalers, you shouldn't develop thrush again after you clear it.
yes medications are known to do that. I would discuss this with your pharmacist or doctor to see if this is what is happening in your case and what can be done about it.
If you are on nebulizer treatments, they can have a bitter salty taste and that will affect how food tastes. Will help to rinse out the nebulizer cup and mouthpiece after every treatment, use sterile water (not tap water) and let it air dry to inhibit bacteria growth, and at least twice a week wash it with 1/3 mix of white vinegar/sterile water.

Will removing your tonsils cure snoring?

Im 28, i have trouble sleeping at night...i had two sleep tests which showed NO sign of sleep apnea...my tonsils are enlarged and i have a deviated septum...my doctor wants to remove teh tomsils and fix the septum (septoplaty and turboplasty)...anyone recommend if i should or shouldnt?
Answer:
There are surgical possibilities to "cure" snoring, but none of the procedures are a 100% guarantee. Tonsil removal, septoplasty, and UP3 (uvula-palato-pharyngoplasty) are among the more common procedures. They are all acceptable and reasonable - but keep in mind, they are not a guarantee. Good luck!
Do it. I used to snore loud enough that I could be heard across the house... and I got colds ofter... I got mine taken out 5 years ago... havent snored since... or gotten near as many colds!Highly recommended!
maybe if they are too large, hypertrhophic or cause Sleep apnea (you stop breathing in your sleep)......see an ENT specialist
My husband had his tonsils out when he was a kid. Developed started snoring after he gained weight. Had sinus surgery. Didn't help (but did help his sinus problems). Had surgery to remove the little gaggling thing from the roof of his mouth. Didn't help (can't remember the name sorry). Sleeps with a c-pack. Works. Doesn't snore now.
unfortunately, i had my tonsils an adenoids removed an it did not help my snoring. there are so many things that can cause snoring it is almost impossible to pinpoint it all. you can even have a yeast allergy which can also cause it. when i went on the Adkins diet for a month my snoring actually decreased a great deal from the lack of yeast in my diet. my niece had the procedure you are talking about an it did however help her snoring so i would try it really you have a lot to gain from removing tonsils, sore throats happen a lot less an if you do get them the duration is much shorter. you may want to try a second opinion being that when you are older and have that operation it takes a bit longer to heal. good luck to ya!!

Will neosporin work to get rid of a scar that is about an inch long that is 2-3 months old? What about mederma

Answer:
I don't know about neosporin, neosporin is used for an injury (like a cut) for it to heal faster, and since your injury is already healed and there is only a mark from it, I doubt neosporin would do anything, Maderma would do something probably, I have heard very good things about it, and also Vitamin E capsules, you can squeeze the gel out of them and apply it to your scar and that may help, I have done that with mine and it helps smooth it out and makes it less noticeable.
I would use Mederma - it will work better on a scar.
I'm not exactly sure of the strength of those medicines for treating scars, though I know that vitamin e oil is great for scars. If you want more info. on things that treat scars, check out http://www.realhomeremedies.com... and click on the scars link on the left.
neosporin would of worked if used when first hurt. Mederma and face cream will help as well as good family stock.

Will my skin go back to normal?

I have had extremely bad skin (i.e. horrible acne) to the point where I haven't been able to leave the house w/o foundation. It has been like this for about two months now after I had laryngitis. Proactiv was working really well, but now it has no effect. I have also tried the ingredient in Clean and Clear and all of those other OTC acne products. I think it's starting to improve again, but I wonder if I will have scars. How do I get rid of the remaining zits I have without putting toothpaste on my face. It hurts way bad to pop them, or should I not do that? Even if I do, all of the junk doesn't come out. I feel so self concious and my graduation is coming up. I'm going on the pill too, will that help? It's a lot of questions but anything helps. Thanks.
Answer:
here is some good advice..Good Luck ! http://www.skincarephysicians.com/acnene...
It might be because you are wearing the foundation, though. If the acne is as bad as you think it is,
you should definitely go to the dermatologist. Also,
going on the pill will make it worse because of the increase of hormones.
Use this formula mix 50% warm pure honey, and 50% almond oil.Apply to skin during bedtime for 20 minutes, then rinse off with warm water.Do this every day . Your graduation will be prefect!

Will My Friend Be Paralized for Life?

My friend recently went to the hospital, and all I know is he got an ear infection and half of his face is paralized. He went into surgery,a nd now has a big scar behind his ear. I couldn't see him for long to ask, but will he ever be able to move that side of his face ever again?
Answer:
The most common cause of facial nerve injury is fracture of the skull base. This injury may occur immediately or may develop some days later due to nerve swelling.
Injury to the facial nerve may occur during operations on the ear. This complication, fortunately, is very uncommon. The risk is higher when the nerve is not in its normal anatomical position (congenital abnormality) or when the nerve is so distorted by mastoid or middle ear disease that it is not identifiable. In rare cases it may be necessary to remove a portion of the nerve in order to eradicate the disease.
Delayed weakness or paralysis of the face following reconstructive middle ear surgery (myringoplasty, tympanoplasty, stapedectomy) is uncommon, but occurs at times due to swelling of the nerve during the healing period. Fortunately, this type of facial nerve weakness usually subsides spontaneously in several weeks and rarely requires further surgery
So, the answer to your question is yes. This paralysis is temporary due to the swelling of the facial nerve. It should subside once the swelling is resolved with normal healing process and medications. And rest is impt. That's why your visits to him probably is restricted as he's not allowed to talk.
Depends on what sort of surgery was done, and why the paralysis happened. It may be an incidental side effect of the surgery that will subside. I wish your friend luck.
perhaps with therapy he will=just be there for him and don't talk about this unless he starts the talking

Will my eyes ever get better??

ive been wearin glasses since i was in 2nd grade and im sick of it!! i dont want to wear contacts either! i want my face and eyes free of everything unnatural, the way they were intended cept with 20/20 freakin vision!! how can i achieve this without surgery??
Answer:
Unfortunately the answer is no. Errors of refraction are due to anatomic features of your eyes. For myopia and hyperopia (near and far sightedness) this is determined by the length of your eyeball, for astigmatism this is determined by the regularity of the curvature of the cornea. All these anatomic features are determined by your genetic make-up and short of doing LASIK, LASEK, intra-ocular lens implants, it is unlikely that they will get any better spontaneously.
well, carrots are good for your eyes
w%26#92;o surgery, it's almost impossible to get better vision without using correction (contacts, glasses). Lasik Surgery is a non invasive surgery that has a very short recovery time. a woman i work with had it done 10 years ago and is still living with perfect vision.

Will my doctor call me?

Will my doctor call me when the lab results for my blood tests come in? The lab said they would call the doctor not me, and that the results would be in by Tuesday. I'm not scheduled to see my doctor till a week later, will my doctor call with the results?
Answer:
If you have an appointment later in the week, the doctor probably won't call you. He'll go over the results during your appointment. You might call his office to ensure that your results have been received prior to your appointment.
yes he will
Sometimes they do, sometimes they wait until your appointment. Personally, I'm one who bugs the bees out of the doctor's office for the results. They are your results after all so you shouldn't worry about calling them. Especially if you are getting stressed because it's for something serious. If it's just general blood work, don't worry, but you still have a right to ask or move your appointment up.
He may call if there are any abnormalities in your blood workup. If everything is ok he"ll probably just wait until your visit. Dr"s offices cannot tell lab results over the phone due to HIPPA regulations now.
Most will wait unless there is an urgent problem.
Only if there are important abnormalities from the test. Otherwise he will go over them with you at your app. Depending on your country and relation ship with the doctor, you may be able to call in and ask for your results. I always ask for a copy of mine as well.I get blood tests often because of a chronic illness.
Best wishes
Depends on the test. Most doctors won't release. They prefer to talk about the result, provide counseling and discuss treatments.Find something else to think about or have some fun while you have to wait.

Will my acne go away im a 20 year old guy????

Answer:
It will if you eat lots of fruits and vegetables and drink a ton of water and sea a dermatologist!!
Acne and pimples is one of the most distressing and depressing problems faced mostly by youngsters. Soak cotton wool in mint juice, and apply every day. Mix cinnamon powder with lime juice to make a fine paste, Apply on pimples. Check out http://useinfo-acne.blogspot.com/... for more useful info.
Nothing that you put on the skin can help true acne. True acne is inflammation beneath the skin. My daughter had acne so bad that her teacher in 7th grade teacher cringed when she touched my daughters face.My daughter was cured 2 months later with low does of erythramicin. It was about 12 years ago so I'm not sure of the dosage but I believe that it was 250 milligrams. But this is a very serious approach and you need to be aware of these dangers.1.---You absolutely must eat before taking erythramycin. My daughter skipped breakfast one morning and she was laying in the floor at her junior high school. You cannot skip eating before taking the medicine.2---You absolutely cannot miss a dose. I kept my daughters medicine because if you miss a dose your acne may worsen and you create an antibiotic resistant strain. Which means that your acne may not be treatable with antibiotics after that.3--If you get sick within 2-3 months after completing your erythramycin treatment you cannot under any circumstances take the same type of anti biotic. You must simply remind the doctor that you took erythramycin and the dates. I would probably insist on waiting 6 months. Normally we only need antibiotics for 7 days, (the 10 day thing is a psychological thing). so when you take those antibiotics for 30-60 days straight that is very serious. Not eating is not life threatening, but advice 2 %26 3 can be life threatening at worst. At best 2 could make your acne much worse. You must ask the doctor about treatment yourself. She came home from school called the doctor an set up her own appointment at 13. She insisted that the doctor do something. He told me that he would not have taken this route except that she at 13 was so insistent. My daughter is 26 now and her acne has never returned. She has lovely skin, but I have met people whose doctors will not do this simple basic treatment for them. Good Luck and be very careful if you use this treatment. I don't know if it works for everyone, but it worked like magic for my daughter. One way to tell if you have true acne is if you have bumpy knots beneath the skin.
Acne is due to hormonal changes ,bad diet and unhealthy skin care habits . Sometimes, dandruff in the hair can also cause acne. Include green leafy vegetables and fruits in your diet. Drink a lot of water regularly to flush out toxins. Avoid deep fried snacks.More home remedies available at http://www.wellnesstalk.org/acne.html...

Will missing an aspirin tablet result in cardiac arrest?

I know an old lady for whom her doctor prescribed regular aspirin tablets. 1/day at night. She is diabetic with mild hyper BP. But generaly healthy for her age. One night she forgot to have the tablet. That night she developed a cardiac arrest. I wonder if the missed aspirin tablet and cardiac arrest related.
Answer:
no, missing one aspirin will not cause that, although the reason she was taking aspirin was more than likely to prevent that from happening but missing one would not bring it on, it more than likely would have happened even if she hadn't missed that one.sorry, you have a nice day!
asprin thins out the blood...possible it contributed but if she already had bad heart problems..possibly it was just her time.
i take asprin for a heart condition i have had since birth i take ot to thin out the blood and stop it sticking to platelets, which can cause a blood clot, depending on the dosage of the asprin and the reason for her taking it it can cause unwanted side effects if not taken, i do know this as i have missed taking mine a couple of times, and i have fainted, it cuases you to go dizzy and feel faitn and can also cause a odd science rythm, causing you to feel like your heart is not working right or slowing, i have been on asprin since i was 5 i am 24 now and know what it does if you miss one.

Will kerry have kids if he have hiv?

Answer:
Who is Kerry and why would Kerry want kids if he has HIV? I mean if you sleep with a woman to get her pregnant and someone is HIV positive the chances of her contracting HIV is very high and then giving birth to an innocent child with HIV is just as high. So, KERRY needs to think about that before he decides to have children. NOT FAIR TO A CHILD!
GTFO
I don't know if he WILL. He CAN, though. It is pretty likely that the kid will be born with it, too. Not definite, but REALLY likely.
What is kerry trying to ask. you wrote i Quote Will kerry have kids if he have HIV. you don't get a kid if you have HIV. you have a kid because you want to. but in kerry's case i suggest he does not. aids is nothing to play with.

Will it connect back?

For some reason, my nail keeps breaking at the bottom. Mainly a small hole opens up in my nail. Now as a nail bitter, i would have the tension to bite it and eventually bite the nail off from bottom up. Now theres a small opening at the bottom. My question is... will the nail connect back to the existing nail, or grow over it
Answer:
I doubt it will connect back. I once got my thumb caught when my friend closed the car door on it and the nail cracked and eventually lifted itself off the nail bed and then fell off. The new nail was very soft and took some time before the normal nail grew back. Just keep it clean and don't bite.
no .it needs to grow new from cutex side out

Will insurance pay for Gardasil when you are 26, or do you have to be under 26?

Answer:
It will depend entirely on your insurance company. You need to call your provider and ask.I was under the assumption that Gardasil wasn't given to anyone over the age of 26. That has nothing to do with insurance but it is FDA guidelines.
You have to call your insurance company to find out this info. No one on here can have clue as you didn't even say what insurance you have.
Some do, and some don't. You'd have to ask your particular insurance company.
The recommended ages for Gardasil vaccination are 8 to 26. Regardless of your insurance, I think you can make a case to have it paid for while you are still 26.
You have to call your insurance to find out if it covers it. I know that medicaid or medical won't though. My doctor told me that it costs around $170 to get the injections. She also said that it is effective under the age of 26 years old.

Will i survive this,or is it that am too afraid?

A result shows that am having Ascites.
does it kills?
is it cureable?Ma doc.said,ma liver/kidney are functioning well, and ask me to go for test of other cause.am afraid is all going to be well with me.pls your information will realy help me.thankz.
Answer:
Ascites is excess fluid in the space between the tissues lining the abdomen and abdominal organs (the peritoneal cavity). Ascites is typically caused by liver disease. However, you state that your kidneys and liver are functioning well, which is why you are having further tests. Treatment may include medicines called diuretics, which help remove the fluid, and antibiotics, if infection develops. Anyone who has ascites and develops new abdominal pain and fever should contact their doctor immediately.
Hope this helps

Will i lose brain cells if i starve myself?

just wonderin cuz recently ive been really busy and i havent had time to eat. and i feel a bit dull..
Answer:
No. You would lose brain cells almost instantaneously if your deprive it of oxygen. Why don't you have any time to eat when there is a Mickey D's around every corner.
you lose energy for your brain cells to use.
you probably won't lose any but you will dehydrate them if you don't drink. You lose brain cells all the time regardless, and of course certain drugs do speed up the process. Malnutrition when young can cause serious detrimental effects on the brain but depending on your age you are probably ok, should get something to eat though.
nope just organ damage. and the dull feeling is due to the low energy and fat being burnt, and your probably running on either caffeine or adrenaline or both!
Duhh uhh nope. I don't eat and i m okey dokey, huh huh..dddd.
you feel dull cus your body needs food for energy and because your not getting any food your not getting any energy.theres always time to eat buy almonds and put them in a baggy then just stick a handful in your mouth when ur busy. that way you have a quick and easy energy boost where your more focused and not as dull.
One, be honest with yourself, everyone has time to eat something, so if you are starving you are choosing to.Now, from a former anorexia. Yes, you can destroy, not just lose brain cells the longer you starve and especially this is true if you are young and your mind, body is still growing and developing. Starvation is a lose, lose and more lose situation and I'm not talking losing weight. No one and I mean no one who has had anorexia would wish it upon anyone else. It starts out as a choice, usually to control emotions, feelings and feel in control. But like all addictions, soon you are traped in it's grip.Even once someone stops being anorexia through change they make on their own or with therapy, people don't mention that most anorexics end up with serious health problems that often begin in tehir late twenties and thirties. Former anorexics like myself and bulemics or both, end up with high rates of strokes, heart attacks. We usually end up with bone problems, nerve damage, arthritis and many end up with heart damage from prolonged starvation and or from loss of potassium due to vomiting. STOP, work through your problems if you have them, don't run form them or try to ignore them and Eat. Otherwise, losing some brain cells will be the least of your life issues and problems. Take care of yourself.

Will i have sleep apnea?

Dear friends,For the past five years I have been suffering from
1. Extreme day time tiredness/fatigue
2. Overweight, but not obese.(90kgs-I am29 yrs,male)
3. Have Blood pressure, but well under control due to tablets(been taking tablets for the past 5 years)
4. Snoring.but not too loud.
5. Tiredness when I get up from bed...literally not able to get up from the bed...I had to push myself hard to get up
6. Approximately ... in a day I am yawning for about 50 times.
7. I do not remember for gasping for breath during night time. I also do not get up during the nighttime. I have a good sleep, but unrefreshing sleep. I can easily sleep as early as within 10 minutes in to the bed, but getting up is really difficult.no matter how many hours I sleep.
8. I was diagnosed for Stress and depression 4 years back at the time when the doctor discovered that I had blood pressure. I personally feel that I do not have any stress or depression as of now.and My BP is normal
Answer:
I would bet that you definately have it. I do and you described my symptoms exactly. Get a sleep study done. Its painless and a cpap is the best thing I have discovered.
The only real way to tell is to get a sleep study, there is no way to diagnose yourself with this problem. If after you get the sleep study it shows that apnea is not your problem then you doctor can search for other reasons why you have these symptoms. It's important to get it checked, don't suffer in silence.
have you checked the side effects of your tablets? are you taking any for depression or anxiety? they can cause tiredness. the only real way to find out if you have sleep apnoea is to go to a hospital or sleep research centre and have tests.
sleep apnea can be central,,,,,,,,brain stem does not issue orders to breathing muscles,peripheral,,,,,,,,,,,r... muscles or diaphragm receive appropriate brain signal but do not contract sufficiently,,,,,,,,obstructiv... structures collapse, because of shape, protruding uvula.or excess weight imposed on diaphragm muscles,,,,,,,there occasionally occurs encephalitis like condition where pt complaints are like yours, except sleep studies, eeg, ekg are all negative,,,,,,thats where you get antidepressants,,,,,,if eeg is positive you might get a forced ventilator,a face mask, and a timer to assure lung ventilation during sleep.surgery might be considered with obstructive sleep apnea, where the uvula might be shortened a tad, you'd be told to drop some weight.another slant on this is food allergies that boost sed rate, sometimes produce sleep apnea like symptoms, tests are negative,,,,,,doctor declares your "architecture" (tech jargon refers to the up %26 down points created by the graph needle, like the polygraph machine) ok,theres no problem, she sends you home and yer still miserable, tired, beat up twice,,,,first ,by the medical condition causes distress, and second, tell you that it doesnt exist because she can't measure it,,,,,sed rate is blood content of white cells that protect you from bacteria, fungii, and parasites,,,,,,elevation is above 200 ,normal 200 or less,,,,high sed rate can cause sleep apnea,,,,,,reduction of offending foods or chemicals, and consequently the sed rate, can improve these symptoms

Will I get bronchitis if..?

I kissed and stayed at someone's house who had bronchitis but was taking amoxicillin. She was on it for 5 days and has 2 more days of it left. (7 days total) Will I get sick?
Answer:
odds are that you won't get it, but most cases of bronchitis are found to be viral. this means that antibiotics won't take care of the bug, but rest and treatment of symptoms will. in the future, hold hands.
Doubtful, but if you were worried enough about it to put it on here, you probably shouldn't have been kissing her hmm..
It would be very rare for you to contract the actual bronchial infection but I wouldnt be surprised if you got the cold that started the bronchial infection.
Kissing someone will not give you a cold or bronchitis. The germ has to enter your body through your nose and lodge in your pharyngeal passage or through your tear ducts. It's why people tell you to wash your hands because we all touch our eyes about every 4 hours. You will get sick if you take the antibiotic. That kills all your friendly bacteria as well as the specific bacteria it is targeting. You will get Candida Albicans from the antibiotic and this yeast infection will create all kinds of other issues. Most people do not even know they get this from taking the antibiotics. Also, the bronchitis the antibiotic supposedly cures, will drive the germs deep into the bronchial tissue and resurface months or years from now as other problems. There are several natural ways to get rid of the bronchitis that work much better and do not have the problems the antibiotics create.good luck

Will i die today?

my aunt died
Answer:
No one knows when they are going to die, unfortunatly. I dont know if i am going to die today, the next month, or maybe even in 5 years. All i have to tell you is, NO ONE KNOWS....
Why do you ask if you will die? From heartache? I know sometimes it feels as if you are going to die because of the pain you feel for losing someone close, but time does heal the pain. My husband died when i was 19 years old, 6 weeks after our son was born. I actually wanted to die too, but time has healed the pain and i'm just thankful that he gave me his son before passing away.Hang in there, just know that your aunt is in alot better place than this crazy world we live in today.
I sure hope you don't. And I'm sorry for your loss.
yeap you will
No , you'll be fine .

Will I become normal?

I'm 15 years old. I've been sleeping only 5-6 hours for a year. My skin colour has changed a bit. I've also got very dark eye rings. I noticed many other changes. My eyes became smaller and dryer. I cant' concentrate as well as I did before. I'm a person who needs much sleep 'cause a few years ago I slept during 10 hours. A few weeks ago I'd tried to sleep 9 hours and it worked for 2 weeks. But I didn't notice any changes. I still don't look like I did before. So my question to you is: Will I ever look as I looked before only because of sleeping more.
Answer:
Skin color will probably not change unless it is due to pallor from health, try eating a good diet, and take a vitamin as well as resting. Also, still get 8 or more hours of sleep. The dark circles should go away

Will i be able to have kids if i have radiation or chemo?

i have cancer and im 22 and oneday i want kids but will i be able to have them ?
Answer:
It really depends on what chemotherapy drugs you are given, as the side effects are different for each one. Please check with your doctor. For what it's worth my hubby and I had 1 child when he was diagnosed with Hodgekins Lymphoma. We were told probably no more kids. Well that was in 1998 and we have since had 2 more children (no help needed!).
It depends on several factors like the type of cancer, the duration and type of treatment, etc.But if you do end up having chemotherapy, there is no guarantee that you will be able to have children naturally. You may want to ask your doctor about freezing some eggs to do IVF later, just in case.
It's been done, talk to your GYN/OB and tell them your concerns.

Will I be able to have children?

I have just recovered from cancer. I had 8 chemos and a stem cell transplant (bone marrow transplant). My periods have stopped and did so during my chemo, although i had one just before my transplant. Am I infertile? I'm 23. It was 3 months since my transplant. If I am infertile, and i know this sounds stupid...can i carry a child by some means??
Answer:
This is probably a question to ask you doctor. There is a possibility the either way. Without knowing all the details, meds. etc.. no one really can answer this on the Internet.
Sorry I cannot be more helpful.
Take care and if having children is what you want pray the answer is yes.
Speaking as an infertile woman (due to cancer) myself I would not trade my adopted children (2) for anything and feel that while I may not have carried them inside me they are as much a part of me as any child is to a biological mother.
Take care and you are in my prayers.
maybe dont give up.
yes you are going to have a child you just have to trust god and pray he will give you a gift to have that child and your still young so god will help you just pray and he will give you an answer
Babe why is it a stupid that you would want to carry a child one day. It is your right to want one and no one can tell you otherwise, like every woman in the world, you are still a woman!
Yes, There is always a chance that you can get pregnant as long as you are menstruating. While on chemotherapy, your menstrual cycle may become irregular. As a result, you may never quite be sure where you are in your menstrual cycle and your period may take you by surprise. Some of your menstrual cycles may be non-egg producing, but you can not rely on this. Even if your periods seem to have stopped, you should use a safe and effective method of birth control for at least 4 to 8 weeks after your chemotherapy treatment has ended.
Irregular menstruation or the disappearance of menstrual periods may persist for years after chemotherapy, making an effective and safe contraception (birth control) method necessary. Guidelines for young women undergoing chemotherapy at many cancer centers include the use of barrier contraceptives such as a diaphragm or a condom.
You might not be infertile, you just need to for your period to get back as usual.
Good Luck and God Bless
I wouldn't say it's impossible. But if you want a reliable answer, you should talk to a doctor.
if you are infertile, which is the worst scenerio, there are many ways to overcome this in the medical world.Good luck
I just got to looking on the Internet for you. It can go either way. This first site is about breast cancer, but the fertility information should relate to any cancer:http://www.breastcancer.org/fertility_pr...Being under 30, your periods might return, but there is no guarantee.
You will need to have a doctor evaluate you. On a personal note my husband had 6 months of chemo in 1998. We had one child at the time and have since gone on to have 2 more.

Will i be able to go back to work with my diseases after pain specialist?

I have fibromyalgia and degenerative and prolapsed disk disease and diagnosed with osteopenia i have been doing physical therapy for two months no help so doctor is sending me to a specialist i was wondering to if i would be going back to my job i work in a factory setting and alot of lifting and bending and standing i need answers i was wondering should i go ahead and quit my job and try to get disability. thanks so much...
Answer:
I wouldn't quit my job unless my doctor told me to. In the US disability isn't a given. Sorry to say the system is set up to deny claims. They usually turn anyone down who files , in hopes they will give up . It could be a long drawn out process, and you have to remember it wont be much money.
It might be a better idea if you started thinking about trying to learn something you can do that isn't dependent on you working for anyone else.
you qualify for disability =you have to get your Dr to sign the sheet saying that you are unable to work due to bla bla bla
good luck
Considering the prolapsed disc and the osteopenia, I'd go for the disability, or try to get a desk job. It doesn't sound like factory work and heavy lifting are going to be such a great idea.
That does not sound like the ideal job for your situation.
However, I would not just quit work and hope for disability.
There are steps to be followed. Your physician(s) will be best able to help you make that decision and go through the process of filing for disability if that is their recommendation. Do NOT give up your job if that is the source of your health insurance coverage until you have that taken care of as well. Given that you now have what would be a pre-existing condition, getting new health insurance may take some research.
you will be fine. But you should change your diet. Degenerative disk can be a sighn of copper deficieny or too much insulin and stress in your life. Fibromyaliga they say is a disease of toxicity.
if you want to learn about about some cures this is a good start.
http://www.biblelife.org/boneloss.htm...
also look up rebounding whihc is jumping on a small trampline which is knonw th hlep with fibromyalgia and strethne the spine and bone densiety. You might also try pilates which help with your spine and posture. Basically there is theroy that a lot of stres and insuline produce catabolic hormones which eat away at the body starting with the spine.

Will hot sun make acne worse or better?

I going to San Antonio where its very hot for military training, wil my acne worsen? god i hate acne
Answer:
depends. the sun will dry out your skin, which will help, but at the same time, you may sweat and clog your pores. therefore, if you are out in the sun, but you take care of it, you will dry your skin out and minimize your acne.
Aesthetically the sun will certainly help reduce the undesireable appearance. As far as any adverse effects, consult a Dermatologist.
This sounds weird, but the best way to treat acne is to put egg yolk on your face and leave it for about 15 minutes. Wash the egg off gently with warm water then wash your face with a gentle soap, like burt's bees. Then you ALWAYS need to go over your face with an ice cube. This will close your pores so they wont clog. Then you use a mosterizer, burt's bees is the best brand. You can do this everyday till the acne goes away then about twice a week. Even when you don't use an egg, make sure to go over your face with an ice cube everytime you wash it or get out of a hot shower.

Will having precancerous cells effect having babies in the future?

I went to the doctor and they said that I had precancerous cells... I don't care about the cancer, I just want to make sure I can have a child when I ready. They said they have to take a nickle size out of my cervix... Will it hurt my chances?
Answer:
Precancerous cells will not harm your chances of having a baby.Surgery to remove these cells however, can.Don't jump into this surgery simply because a doctor has told you to do it.If you have CIN 1 or CIN 2 I'd urge you not to have this surgery done if you plan on having a family in the future.Have pap tests every 6 months to track what the cells are doing. You'll most likely find that after a few months your body will have done its job and evicted the "bad cells".
If not, you can always fall back on the option of surgery later, with no ill effects to your health in the meantime.Women are made to believe that the presence of these cells will cause death, and that they must be removed ASAP.
This is simply NOT TRUE!

Will genital Warts come back?

I think I have genital warts, there are little bumps look like flesh maybe red sometimes...if i get it treated will the bumps come back? or are they gone for good?? Is this a serious issue?
Answer:
Genital warts are usually pretty harmless. Most people get them removed for cosmetic reasons - they are ugly, irritating, itchy, etc. Pregnant woman may have more complications with genital warts. They may increase in size, bleed, or become infected with bacteria.Once a person gets them removed though they can always come back. In fact, I've read about 20 - 50% of people who have had warts removed, have them grow back. I personally had genital warts about a year and 1/2 ago. I used Aldara cream and they went away in about a month. Luckily, mine have never came back! And, even though there is no "cure" for HPV, most people are able to get rid of it on their own. Their bodies basically "fight off" the virus. But, some people will have the virus their entire life.
http://www.cdc.gov/std/hpv/stdfact-hpv.h...
this is a very serious issue that can cause infertility. You need to see a doc!
you have the virus that causes them forever, so always use a condom.
Yes they will come back... You need to ck w/dctr and always use a condom... they can b spread to your partner....
Yes, Genital Warts do have the potential to be serious unfortunately.Firstly warts are a virus, the Human Papillomavirus or HPV and are treatable but contagious. You need to see a doctor asap and they can a)confirm what it is and b) give you a treatment such as a cream or 'burn' them off. Unfortunately even with treatment, further outbreaks can happen and you can remain contagious. For women, genital warts are really serious and left untreated can lead to infertility and cervical cancers so medical diagnosis is important. Plus, it may be something else so rather than worry, get them checked!
u can get them removed but the virus stays with u forever..and yes they can come back

Will Fistual in ano without operation, medicine lead to serious problems?

I have been operated for 6 times for abcess(thigh to ankle) and perinial abcess. I took injection from unqualified doctor.
Now i am ok,except small external hole near my perinial, which is not closed, pus discharge is there.Scanning report says its complex fistual track.
I have decided not to go for surgery because i dont want to harm much to that region.
Will fistual plug/fibrin glue treatment heals this?
Keeping this fistual leads to serious problem?
Kindly help me.
Thanks and Regards
Answer:
Fistulas kill. First and foremost, that is what they can do if closed from the surface. If allowed to drain, pressure is relieved and the condition is moderately safe. If you stop the drain of the fistula, the infection inside will get worse and worse, and if and when (it will happen) the fistula bursts, it can kill you in a matter of hours, and not much will help at that time. It will be too late. Unfortunately, the only way to really control this is with surgery. As long as it is open and draining, you can put it off, but if it closes to the exterior of your body, you are immediately in danger. Get the surgery.
Im afraid that due to its location your problem could lead to serious bacterial supra infections. You should have it treated surgically and meanwhile while waiing for surgery you should take special hygienic measures for cleaning the area after going to the toilet.
Good luck.
An anorectal fistula is a tubelike tract with one opening in the anal canal and the other usually in the perianal skin. Symptoms are discharge and sometimes pain. Diagnosis is by examination and sigmoidoscopy. Treatment often requires surgery.
Please see the web pages for more details on Anorectal fistula.
It sounds like you've been burned a time or three trying to take shortcuts with this thing. Learn from your mistakes, find a qualified professional, and do whatever that person tells you. This probably means surgery to repair the fistula.

Will cancer be infect anyone? (question might not make sense, please read info.)?

I am going to baby sitting a one year old boy. He has cancer, and I have to take care of him everyday in the hospital. Therefore I would like to know if the cancer is a disease that someone could get infection? Thanks !!
Answer:
No. You cannot catch cancer. Cancer alters the normal growth cycle of a person's cells so they keep on dividing out of control. It is not infectious.if that is what you are asking.Cancer can POSSIBLY be caused by an infection as seen by increased correlation bt HPV and cancer in the female... but no, you cannot get cancer from the child you are babysitting or other cancer patients. He may be more susceptible to picking up other illnesses though and some of those you may be able to catch.
%26gt;%26gt;No, it is not infectious like that. That will probably be a really hard but rewarding experience for you. You will remember that the rest of your life.
Sort of a blatantly obvious answer... but no, cancer is not contagious. It requires a mutation of cells that cannot occur just by contact with someone who has cancer. I would reconsider babysitting this child since you don't seem to be very knowledgeable concerning his situation.
cancer is not contagious. At all. Don't worry about it
no cause it is not caused by bacteria or virus
Nope. You'll be fine. It's not the flu where you can catch it.
No, cancer is not contagious. You will be fine. But his immune system is likely weakened with the cancer and the treatments, so you should be careful not to spread any contagious diseases to him.Babysitting a kid with a terminal disease sounds like a lot more than anyone can handle. The parents should get a visiting nurse or hospice care instead of putting such pressure on you (especially since you don't understand the basics about cancer).
Simply put, no cancer is not an infectious disease. You have zero chance of "catching" cancer from him.
You cannot get cancer from someone who has it. It is not contagious. If the baby is getting chemotherapy, the chemo will make his immune system weak, and he could catch any "bugs" his caregivers or visitors might have, and become very ill from that. So it is important to wash your hands carefully, wear a mask if you have a cough or sniffles, and do not have fresh flowers or fresh fruit or vegetables in the baby's room. (These may have bacteria on them that would be harmful to him.) So do not worry about getting sick from the baby with cancer.
NO
As far as doctors know, cancer is not a contagious disease, and in a way,it's a blessing, can anyone imagine how many more millions of people would be dying if it would be transmitted like other diseases
NO and thanks for caring enough to take care of him... good on you
NO!! Some cancer can be caused by infection, HPV can cause cervical cancer. Don't be scared. I have been around many people with cancer and it has been one of the best experiences of my life. Good luck and be there for the little boy, he needs all the help and love he can get.
I cared for my father who had cancer. Believe me, it is not contagious.
no

Will both lungs collapse if one is collapsed? why or why not?

Answer:
absolutely not.
because it is separated from each other by a membrane called pleural sac. this pleural sac are supposed to maintain the resting state of the lung after expiration.
puncture of this sac will make lung to collapse, pneumothorax.
sometimes it is better to puncture one of your lung if there is mild pneumothorax affecting it.
no only one will because they a re 2 separate lungs
no silly u still have one working but be careful that collaspe u drown
No. I think you would need to puncture both lungs to make them both collapse.
No. I know someone with 1 collapsed lund and a normal 2nd lung. Lungs can collapse from serious injuries, like car accidents, respiratory disorders like pneumonia, cancer %26 COPD and of course smoking can lead to those and much more. For best answer check webmd.com
No, but if one collaspe and the other doesn't the one that didn't collaspe will have to work harder to make up for the one that did collaspe.
No. What affects one will not necessarily affect the other. for example, a punctured lung is just that a lung not lungs. The operate independently.
One lung or a part of one lung can collapse. There are 3 sections in the right and 2 (to make room for the heart) on the right. Only the sections, which are called lobes, that are injured will deflate.
