Will they give you a vaccination if you have a cold/possibly flu?

i need hep A, and yellow fever, and i have a pretty nasty cold. is it ok to go ahead and get the shots, or do i need to wait till im healthy?
Answer:
As a rule, as long as you are not running a fever, most doctors will still vaccinate you. It's up to them, though to make the call. The Yellow Fever vaccine is a bit rough and can cause a fever on it's own, so they may prefer to defer it until you are healthy again. Call the office and explain to them, they will let you know what their policy is.
From the research I've done (mostly on childhood vaccines though), you can still get a vaccine with a mild cold. I'd call ahead and ask..
docs prefer you healthy. It limits risks associated with vaccinations.
Best to wiat till you are feeling better as the vaccines can give you side effects as well such as fever.
