For some reason, my nail keeps breaking at the bottom. Mainly a small hole opens up in my nail. Now as a nail bitter, i would have the tension to bite it and eventually bite the nail off from bottom up. Now theres a small opening at the bottom. My question is... will the nail connect back to the existing nail, or grow over it

I doubt it will connect back. I once got my thumb caught when my friend closed the car door on it and the nail cracked and eventually lifted itself off the nail bed and then fell off. The new nail was very soft and took some time before the normal nail grew back. Just keep it clean and don't bite.
