Will i be able to go back to work with my diseases after pain specialist?

I have fibromyalgia and degenerative and prolapsed disk disease and diagnosed with osteopenia i have been doing physical therapy for two months no help so doctor is sending me to a specialist i was wondering to if i would be going back to my job i work in a factory setting and alot of lifting and bending and standing i need answers i was wondering should i go ahead and quit my job and try to get disability. thanks so much...
Answer:
I wouldn't quit my job unless my doctor told me to. In the US disability isn't a given. Sorry to say the system is set up to deny claims. They usually turn anyone down who files , in hopes they will give up . It could be a long drawn out process, and you have to remember it wont be much money.
It might be a better idea if you started thinking about trying to learn something you can do that isn't dependent on you working for anyone else.
you qualify for disability =you have to get your Dr to sign the sheet saying that you are unable to work due to bla bla bla
good luck
Considering the prolapsed disc and the osteopenia, I'd go for the disability, or try to get a desk job. It doesn't sound like factory work and heavy lifting are going to be such a great idea.
That does not sound like the ideal job for your situation.
However, I would not just quit work and hope for disability.
There are steps to be followed. Your physician(s) will be best able to help you make that decision and go through the process of filing for disability if that is their recommendation. Do NOT give up your job if that is the source of your health insurance coverage until you have that taken care of as well. Given that you now have what would be a pre-existing condition, getting new health insurance may take some research.
you will be fine. But you should change your diet. Degenerative disk can be a sighn of copper deficieny or too much insulin and stress in your life. Fibromyaliga they say is a disease of toxicity.
if you want to learn about about some cures this is a good start.

also look up rebounding whihc is jumping on a small trampline which is knonw th hlep with fibromyalgia and strethne the spine and bone densiety. You might also try pilates which help with your spine and posture. Basically there is theroy that a lot of stres and insuline produce catabolic hormones which eat away at the body starting with the spine.
